Its better this way.Girls prefer it shaven.Beard that is not full will just make you look old and give illusion of terrible skin.If you are atleast going for some beard look,start applying sprays and elixirs from the start again

Clean shaven is better while he is young and still in high school.He already has very masculine face and needs to balance it with some aesthetic traits like better skin and ofc shaved look. When he gets older he can pull off stubble easily whenever he wants.Now or never,it's best time to ascend and he already has good base to start journey
