Just spoke to Ramieri- he told me I’m a borderline case between bimax+Genio or genio only

He said he needs CT scan to know for sure -

Tbf semi Suifuel for me cos I cant afford bimax or really get enough time off work for it.

Also he said he hates mini chin wing now and never does it

That’s good to know. Lol funny because he actually did a mini chin wing for a .org user quite recently so he must’ve changed his mind in the last couple months.

I thought his beautyfull chin procedure was a mini chin wing.

It’s used to be his trademark procedure- think there are medical reasons he doesn’t like it rather than aesthetic ones

Ok fair. Does he still do normal genio?

How do i contact him? Does he charge for it?

Just Google his name and you can get his secretaries WhatsApp and arrange a consult

It’s €150 for the initial consult

i thought you dont need it but hmm maybe genio ...... idk nvm
I consider slightly more ramus length. And for my chin i would just get a small filler dose, chin is the safest place to fillermax. My looksmax goals:

1. Hair transplant for nw0.5 (nw 1.5 currently)
2. Acne scar removal
3. Ramus length increase
4. A little filler for chin to make it slightly more forward and taller

I don’t wanna dissapoint you but if you want to increase the vertical height of your chin you’re gonna need a genio for that.

Fillers are great for adding width to the chin, and okay for projection but can’t really add significant height

Well I should caveat that by saying in theory you can add chin height with filler but you’d need to filler the entire lower third which would take so many ml it wouldn’t be practical

My philtrum to chin ratio is almost 2 (1.97) so i just need a slightly bigger chin for it to be in the ideal range (2-2.25). This isn't even my primary goal, the first 2 (hair and skin) is what im trying to fix as soon as possible

Fair enough I jut don’t think fillers is the way to achieve that, ^read the edit I made above , fillers mog for chin width, but they’re an inferior option for height

Is genio risky tho? My chin needs a slight push tbh, afraid that the surgeon would make it look too big

Risky in what way?

Obviously is a more invasive procedure by far, you normally agree with te surgeon how many mm vertical movement you want beforehand

Fillers just aren’t really for adding height though I’m afraid, because the chin bone needs to be rotated and the gap grafted to add height to the lower third, you can’t achieve a similar effect with fillers without needing very many mls which wouldn’t be practical or financially feasible

wouldn't implants be less invasive and the same results?

For adding height?

Not really no, you’d need a full wraparound implant on the whole lower jaw to add height.

Implants are good for adding projection thoughh

Remember in a genioplasty the chin is detached and can be moved in both the horizontal and vertical direction. It can also be rotated, allowing you to achieve results you couldn’t do with an implant

yes I'm talking about wraparound, ramieri does them too or does he just do partial implants?

and I know osteometies ar superior but you can't change bones if the surgeons fucks you up:feelswah:

I’m not sure - but if you go to ramieri with a problem he’ll help come up with the solution

It’s best to go into the consultation just having a problem in mind rather than having already decided what surger you want.

Aka I went to ramieri and said I wanted to increase the height of my lower third. From this and my pictures he said it was possible to do this with a genio and BSSO/bimax were also options that could be done alongside a vertical genio.

I think if you go into your consult having already made up your mind rather than listening to the surgeon and what they think if the ideal surgery for you then you’re more likely to pigeon hole yourself into getting a surgery that wasn’t optimal for you.

And that’s true osteomies are permanent, but I’d also argue they’re easier to predict the results and tend t look more natural than implants. The also mean you don’t have a foreign object in your face for rest of your life (well except the screws etc)

You'll probably ascend with just a good genio

If you think in a sensible way, it isn't suifuel

If he's saying you're not a good candidate for bimax, then it probably won't ascend you

yea I'm getting cbct scan next week and my lower third needs also width and height because I have a narrow jaw+ rounded despite my philtrum to chin ratio being ideal 😢

did you get your cbct scan yet? @DoctorLooksmax

If you’re philtrum to chin is ideal but you’ve got a small rounder jaw then a wraparound could be ideal for you but it’s hard to say so without pics

I’m quite the opposite, my jaw has good width to it so I think a wraparound could look a bit uncanny but my chin is very short vertically due to my low gonial angle (I’m similar to birdcel jaw structure wise)

Also personally I think absolute chin height matters more than chin/philtrum ratio. A small chin paired with a short philtrum is still bad.
