Why do we have this urge to just talk to talk

Aka socialization

You don’t actually learn anything new

Maybe you will occasionally but it’s like 1% as efficient as research

So naturally it follows that the majority of our conversation is just talking to talk

It’s like a dog sitting around barking with another dog

It’s strange how instinctual yet meaningless it is

I’m even doing it right now btw

It’s the whole reason most of you use this forum too

Gives you a nice reassuring feeling
