And I'm pleasantly surprised. It's about 5 am in Germany but there's a Russian supermarket across the street that's open 24/7 and I was craving some beer. Most decent brands were sold out so I thought, why not try something new? Having no clue about Russian beer whatsoever, I just picked one randomly after comparing the labels of a few affordable beer bottles. Baltika 5 golden pale lager (5.3 % vol.) was the one I bought and it turned out much better than many cheap German beers I tried. A lot better actually. It was rather light and a little watery (I feel like I could drink twice as many of those than most German beers with lower acohol content) but otherwise, an awesome summer beer, very easy to drink and not too heavily carbonated. No dry mouth, burping etc. whatsoever
Going to try other Russian beers from the same brand later today. Check it out @JM10 @RAITEIII
