Just watched American psycho for the first time

Overall I hated all the people in the movie except Jean who was like the only likeable person in the movie everyone else was just self centered narcissistic zombies for the most part especially Bateman's work buddies. I enjoyed the film's thought provoking moments and the acting from Christian bale is some of the best acting I have seen in a film. But overall a very disturbing film which I really didn't enjoy watching overall because I literally didn't like anybody in the film except Jean who hardly gets any screen time. What do you guys think? I would say it's a great film but I didn't enjoy watching it. Anybody else feel the same?

It's a black comedy, a satire on the era, everyone is supposed to come off as despicable
