Just went to the psychiatrist; she got defensive and pressed me after I mentioned Vyvanse

18. Just had my first psychiatrist visit; I scored high on the forms and she asked me a bunch of questions about my life, school, etc.
Then she asked me if I had any treatments/medications in mind, and I mentioned I had heard of Vyvanse.

She then proceeded to grill me on why I would ask for that specifically, saying I shouldn't be listening to others telling me to get it for them.
(I had no clue why she said this to me; I did not do anything to incline that).

She then gave me Strattera. I asked if I could get stimulant options, and she said if I insisted, I would have to get an EKG from my doctor, and those weren't good for me.

I got another appointment with her in 2 weeks.
Does anyone know the best way to go about trying to get Vyvanse or Adderall or anything, even Concerta or Ritalin?

When I got Adderall my psych just whizzed thru the questions and asked me what dosage I wanted and how many. I think your psych is just a crank.
