$1200 a month is not enough to live off of. You need at least triple that.

Can't you get a bigger return from dividends? My rich as fuck uncle was advising me to do that.

Couldn't u just use the interest in the third world? $1200 month is quite decent in SEA or LATAM geomaxxers

$1200 so you can go to starbucks ONCE and buy a sandwich with your coffee (in 2024).

You'll also need to consider the fact you may need to spend money on others. $1200 a month is not liveable. All the passive income cope is just cope.

If you make $400k, just continue working.

It's wishful thinking and I presume you are fantasizing about winning $400k in a lotto, accumulator bet etc.

Most of Gen Z will never see 5 figure savings, never mind 400k. Even in Europe the average wage barely pays your living cost and there is nothing to save.

For 1800€ you get very decent apts. in the best areas in Milan and Paris jf

Dk about London...

If youre living with family tho, you need close to 3k € for a “nice” apt.

Do you fully understand that inflation will rape the worth of that $400k in just a few years and your interest rate will have to go towards barely keeping that 400k currency as 400k "money", and you will eventually have to keep working because over time that $1200 will be worth less and less due to inflation.

That's all you can do but at some point you need to find a way to create passive income that works for you somehow.

You can do the retarded traditional 401k bullshit or a S&P500 stock or something. There's a lot of different ways but the end line is: you need either a lot of income when you are young saved up to survive off interest when you are old, or passive income coming in somehow when you are too old to work.

You can get a pension from retiring at a company or the military or a job. You can use money to purchase a rental property as an investment and then survive off the rent money and buy multiple houses and be a landlord when you are old.

There's a lot of options but if you are making a lot of money now you're fine just think about the approach you want to take: it takes money to make money so get that high paying job just to start out. Maybe do a side hustle business for fun if you like. You could start selling something you actually enjoy with the expectation of it failing (because most businesses do fail), just to get the experience of selling a service or product, then brainstorm something else you can sell and start a new business with your little bit of experience.

You have many options.

London, let's say zone 3, you would need about €2400 for an ok apartment for 1 person. Zone 2 more like 3500
