Yes he is. If you believe the death burial and resurrection you're saved. How can eternal life be a gift of you have to earn it? That would make it a reward. And each time salvation was mentioned in the Bible, faith was the only requirement.

For instance I can't have faith a pizza will be delivered to my house just by faith. I have to order the thing first. If James 2 was about salvation that would mean there are contradictions in the Bible. Also in acts 16:30-31 Paul and Silas told the Phillipian jailer to simply believe on Jesus Christ to be saved. That would make Paul and Silas liars and misleaders if salvation was by works. Idk if Knaye west is saved, theoretically if he believed the gospel I guess he is. Thing you gotta realise is we have this perspective that celebrities are amongst the most unsaveable people, but Jesus came to save even the worst of sinners. It means believe in jesus christ but also believe in his teachings.If you dont obey his teachings,you cannot be saved.Try to be more active.People like you are needed here
