Can't count how many times in group settings one guy would go "did you guys hear about xyz?" and everyone would rejoice at the conversation prompt and confirm they do indeed know about it. Then they all start trampling each other to give their thoughts first. But I have no fucking clue what they're talking about, literally zero.
Keeping up with any piece of irrelevant news (world news and local) = extremely important
