@TiktokUser why did you wtf react me
Bonesmashing is NOT cope, and this guy somehow getting 7th cranial nerve damage was most likely not caused by that, especially considering that even boxing and MMA fighters almost never report facial nerve injuries

The most common facial injuries are lacerations, bruising, and fractures, NOT nerve damage. Actual facial nerve injury is rarely reported, even among professionals who take repeated blows to the face for years.

So if a kid is hitting himself with a hammer or his knuckles after the zygomatic area has already healed from bruising, HOW exactly would that lead to nerve damage, when that is even more uncommon, and much deeper tissue to even hit

Bonesmashing is also NOT about growing new bone. it’s about breaking down the periosteum to trigger a healing response. The fibroblasts in the periosteum then become active and start producing collagen, that strengthens and repairs the periosteum.

Which parts of your face do you bonesmash chin, zygomatic bones, brow ridge?
Do you also use the same object for each? cause that would seem like too much force if you do it on your brow ridge. And do youalso have a link to that reddit post?

DR, a hammer and mildy padded gloves arent the same thing, so the goal (from what i understand) of bonesmashing is strengthening bone? Whats the point of that

you would need to actually fracture a bone for there to be permanent damage

most likely soft tissue swollen and nerve got stuck, no way nigga actually fractured his bone doing bonesmashing unless absolute psycho

I included MMA in that post as well and lacerations were still the most common injury, nerve damage is extremely rare, especially 7th cranial nerve damage.
Same thing for bare knuckle
