I didn’t know about topical minox being dangerous for cats, until 1 day my cat got sick as fuck and we had to take him to the vet and they asked if we have any substances dangerous and i looked up if minox was dangerous for cats and realized that was probably what fucked him, he must have licked the bottle or some shit when it was closed. And my mom crashed out but i was able to hide the minoxidil from her.

So yeah, you can use it it’s fine bro but just make sure to do it correctly.

Keep the bottle closed, and locked away somewhere i have it in a shoebox i keep a bunch of products in. And also make sure that when you used it you don’t drop it anywhere and apply it over the sink so that if you drop it you can clean it up with soap.

Also don’t interact with your cats until it dries. Like 1 hour is say. And event then never let your cats near your eyebrows ever. Unless you like applied it hours ago and showered or something and now its gone.

But even then i as a reflex dont put my eyebrows near my cat

I used topical for years around my/my parents' cat no issues, I would be worried if it sleeps on your bed, pillow etc, or has a habit of licking your hair. Cats that died from minoxidil usually licked topical liquid or foam directly, that is A LOT of minoxidil ingested for a small animal that is already toxic to them. 1 ml of 5% topical minoxidil contains 50 mg minoxidil, so a cat could easily ingest many mgs from a tiny amount of foam/liquid. But something like tiny dry microscopic flakes falling off your head to the floor etc and somehow ending up on them won't be anywhere near enough to harm them. That is why vast majority of topical users still never have any issues around their cats.

Edit: I use sublingual/oral now though, I avoided touching my cat with my hair before of course now I don't have to worry about that for ex.
