I started university last semester, I skipped math 001 and got put into math 012 (If I pass 012 I can start calc if not I have to take math 002 the next semester, both math 001 and 002 are pre algebra), Last semester I had Math012, chem101, pe and English101

I didnt study well for my first major exam and got a 12/20, I proceeded to not learn from my mistakes till 3 days before my 2nd major exam, 2nd major exam's material was all trig, everything that has to do with trig was there. For those 3 days I busted my ass learning and solving and Practicing till the day of the exam, I even decided to stay at uni and keep on studying until my major which was at 6 pm.

I solved 8 questions in that exam, like really solved them, with steps and formulas, the other 12 questions I just guessed willy nilly, just felt the vibes you know? how much did I get you may ask?

I Got a fucking 2/20, lowest grade in the entirety of prep year, so to answer your question, no dont study trig, its not worth it, if you dont understand it to a tee you will only waste your time

Before the final exams I had a total of 34 marks, the passing grade was out of 52, I preceded again to make the same dumb fucking mistake of not studying daily, when finals came around I made a 3 day plan to study everything in the curriculum except trig, because I knew trig was only going to be 33% of the total grade, so I gambled big on being able to atleast guess 1 or 2 questions while also getting every other question correctly

I passed with a 53, if I didnt get those 2 grades from the 2nd major I wouldn't have had passed math012 and would've had to study ONLY (No other college course, just math, they dont allow you take freshmen courses if you failed a prepyear course)math 002 every single day at 7am for the entire fucking semester, I would've hanged myself ngl
