It genuinely doesn't help with anything. People might be nice towards you because they pity you and don't want to hurt you. That won't do shit though. You can't build friendships off of kindness. No one will talk to you because you're kind. You can't compensate for your boring and weird personality with being a good person. Maybe someone will call you kind and nice then talk to you for a while until they get bored and leave. You won't be able to build any meaningful connections with anyone. All you're going to be is a side friend. Maybe extrovert will have you as their 16th best friend. It's all cope
