For me it’s not about playing a smart long game it’s just how I was raised. Treating people well and showing empathy makes me happy not because of a future payout even if science says we're wired to cooperate because of this I barely have any enemies irl, if I make a single phone call 20 people will show up to stand by me.

I only help if I consider the other to be in a difficult moment, I don't help my "friends" just because they're friends. Also we are not forced to help either, it's voluntary.
