People talk about their power, money, terra scacy harems , expensive belongings, luxury foods etc.... but they never mention the power they had to kill any person they wanted without getting punished by law.
As a dominant male, the more you kill other men, the more successful you will get/feel. Dopamine release when killing others is a natural response for any male to climb higher in his hierarchy and as you know the main point of living for males is to attain power and climb the higher.
Imagine seeing a pretryboy and not liking his presence, he could just torture him to death, and no consequences for him. You are bored? Just invent some torture methods and have fun for hours and still get worshipped after you killed hundreds. Just grab a few random worthless npc normies from outside world and tie them up, you can detach anything, burn, slit, pour thing in anywhere etc....
over for modern millionaires who can't have all the kings prevelages.
