A lot of you might be having a hard time losing weight or bodyfat because of mistakes in calorie counts

If you are serious about leanmaxing get a kitchen scale and start counting your calories properly.

TRUST ME IF YOU HAVEN’T BEEN DOING THIS.IT’S A GAME CHANGER

IF YOU DON’T WEIGH YOUR FOOD YOU ARE PROBABLY CLUELESS.I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE.DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE IMPACT OF THIS

Before getting a kitchen scale even though I made educated guesses I was off in my estimations big time.It was surprising seeing how wrong I was and later things made sense.I finally understood how much certain food items or certain amounts of food affected me.You just cannot guess calories correctly and could even be off by 500 calories.

YOU SHOULD’VE SEEN MY FACE AFTER REALISING THE 175GRAMS I THOUGHT I WAS EATING WAS 275 GRAMS Basically this: :dafuckfeels:

But even if you are off by 250-300 calories daily that’s absolutely huge.Especially if you are losing weight long term or cutting for bodybuilding.

You could be way more efficient at cutting this way.You don’t have to go extra lower calories to compensate for error in estimations of calories. When cutting every 100 calories matter so much. Also you can map out and know your macros better

ALSO IF YOU THINK TAKE OUT FOOD IS MEASURED PROPERLY YOU ARE WRONG,VERY OFTEN WHAT THEY CLAIM AS CALORIES OR WEIGHT IS INACCURATE.You need to measure yourself

Get a digital model that’s reasonably priced I’m still using the one I bought almost 2 years ago, didn’t even change the batteries. It’s relatively cheap.

This def legit no doubt, but the brutal evisceration I will receive from my parents is brutal. I can already see them calling me retarded for weighing my food.

people have a hard time losing weight because they eat shit. Calorie counting is cope, no healthy human does that ever

transfats, polysaturated fats, fiber which does nothing but bloat you and destroy your gut ect

legit thread. already do this, but thanks anyways bro @Main
I still live with my parents and my mom cooks generally healty food, so I have no problems weighting the food. I use myfitnesspal to track calories.
Also, never trust the calories and macros in food wrappers. I always asume it's atleast 50% more than stated.

This is great advice, scales are super legit.

But here's a problem, when cooking carbs like rice or pasta, no online source confirms if the calories per 100g is cooked or uncooked. This can put u off by factor of 2x easily.

Also, one for UScels, wtf is this measurement u use called a cup???? Like what is a cup of rice?????

I'd only use a scale for gaining weight/bullking personally, I eat one or two smaller meals a day in which I know that they are below 1500 calories. I always have cravings so I don't make meals on the spot or go near food when I'm not trying to eat, not that I can't control myself but it gets stressful if you are enjoying your fast and then have to measure how many grams of oats I'm going to eat. Fatcels relapse under stress not hunger, hunger is overrated and I wouldn't stress measuring grams personally but scale is good for some with less discipline
