My mom thinks I'm a thug for serving under him but what she doesn't understand is that Syria will go back to the middle ages if we lost this war. I reached Raqqa after liberation and saw the ISIS buildings myself and my heart dropped.

I must say tho we get treated like shit by our superiors but it is what it is. I've had friends die and I'm happy I got to be safe and that I'm alive.

Assad is bad yes, I agree, but I'm only serving because of mandatory service as well as the fact that I actually wanted to fight for my country. Everyone in this war is bad, but the lesser evil sadly is Assad.
