Korean movies are actually good

What I liked about the handful of Korean movies that I've watched is that there always some twist that you won't see coming.

There is a sudden change in the tone and mood halfway through the movie that you wouldn't expect.

A funny and even an action movie can turn into horror, and actual horror can turn into a movie about hope. The transitions are seamless and I like this.

I know that it's Japanese, but Cure (1997) is really good.
