Wittgenstein would definitely have more interesting and informative stuff about these ideas of language, and how ideas and logic and language come together. Orwell also has a few essays on nature of modern English and how it is poorly used and understood. Just as a "chair" could mean a large recliner or a small wooden stool, many words used are so nonspecific and have emotional connotation so they just cause more confusion.

In Homer's works he used single descriptions of things across his stories, for example when he described the ocean he used the same adjectives each time, and when he described achilles he always uses the same adjectives to describe how he looks, which give a more objective idea of the nature of language as he used it, instead of very loose like English is used now.
