Getting my LASIK next week

Has anyone here gotten LASIK, Femto LASIK, or SMILE? I'm 27 and I'm getting it done next week. Just wanted to hear some real experiences from people who've actually gone through with it. Was it worth it? Did you have any side effects or regrets, or has it been one of the best decisions you've made?
Since i'm myopic (mild refraction) and my corneal thickness is above average, doc has recommended me Femto LASIK. US Navy 070501 N 5319A 007 Capt Joseph Pasternak an ophthalmology surgeon at National Naval

i've heard controversial things. Personally wouldn't do it

Done it. It kind of ruined my night vision:hnghn: but left no dryness in the eyes. The first 2 days are pure pain I would say that's the only negative thing.

I had it. The surgery kind of sucks since they have very specific needs when positioning your eye. Which is kind of obviously why but just it can be hard to do as a patient. I felt like they were ready to give up on my 2nd eye when I finally got it where they wanted it.

Obvi you can't see the well right after surgery but it gets better very quickly. I got a lot of dry eye for the first 6 months and had to use eyedrops for a year or more. I wouldn't say it's ever gotten back to normal but I also don't need to use eyedrops much anymore. I also don't need to deal with glasses/contacts.

Just be aware there's a very rare complication where people get horrible chronic pain from lasik.

It's just worse. One other thing is sunlight/snowblindness can create these starbursts that lasts for a long time. I got LASIK like 12 years ago.
