The Latino population in the United States reached approximately 70.2 million people in 2025, making up 20% of the entire country. [1, 2]
According to data reported by the Pew Research Center, this group is a primary driver of the nation's overall demographic changes. [1]

Growth and Speed
    • Fast growth: The Latino population is growing nearly six times faster than the non-Latino population.
    • Total share: Between 2000 and 2024, Latinos accounted for 56% of the entire U.S. population growth.
    • New milestone: For the first time in U.S. history, one in every five Americans identifies as Latino
    • If the current growth rates were to continue exactly as they have over the last decade, the Latino population could theoretically become the absolute majority (over 50%) of the U.S. population by the year 2100.
