I have this belief that laws are just way to means test the tolerance of the average men. I come from a very shithole country so pardon me if thisndoes not resonate with a lot of 1st worlders.
In my view, lawless men are just very low inhib. They were never the target of all these laws. They would commit crimes without or with laws. The schism between orgamised and unorganisrd crime is mainly determined by intelligence and organisational capability.
The demographic that laws are meant to target are high inhib men, or more pertinently, the male that follows the herd. The reason is simple. These men can be used as a powerful tool to organise and order around in order to achieve complex tasks for the benefit of society. But if any of these men gets the wrong idea about straying from the herd due to any reason, suddenly the entire herd falls into disarray. Thats why you see codes controlling speech and sharing of information sprinkled in even though freedom of speech is a right. A high inhib male isnt just a couch potato. He needs the right stimulus and much more of it to do risky things.
Thats the reason judicial system are not that bothered about correcting crimes. It always runs with the assumption that a secrion of society is unchained. The goal of the judicial system isnt to deliver justice, its to ensure that the commonfolk dont get the wrong idea like the criminals.
