When u have a bad nose but also want to do a surgery that includes Le Fort osteotomy, u should first do Le fort since moving the maxilla can have an effect on the nose right?

Holy. Some people are so lacking in their surgical knowledge despite having thousands of posts…..

It totally depends on your nose, and the type of bimax needed….

Yeah no shit but moving ur maxilla forward can make a difference on how the nose looks like

Yeah but start at 0 posts…. What were u doing in these 4000+ posts to not understand simple stuff.

Anyways we don’t have pics of your face, we don’t have scans, we don’t have anything so any advice someone gives you on this scenario is useless. Because it is totally case dependant what you need to do

Yeah dude but due to the fact that you know nothing about surgery, there’s a big chance u dont even know the type of bimax that u need. How it will effect ur nose, and it depends on the shape of your nose.

Do u even know if you have a flat or tilted occlusal plane?

I’m caged. Can’t upload a pic with all the shit I posted 😭.

Can u elaborate on the “it’s case dependent” by using 2 faces as example please?

Do both at the same time:bigbrain::bigbrain:

There are different types?

I don’t know what that is. If my teeth are flat or tilted?

The first case is someone who has a hypodivergent (short face) who has undergone clockwise rotation of the jaws

IMG 0602

This means that there will be absolutely zero improvement of her nose because she needed clockwise rotation to fix her short face.

The second case is someone who has a long face and is getting counter clockwise rotation.

IMG 0603

She will see improvements in her nose because she got counter clockwise rotation.

So if you look at your own face, you need to figure which one you are.

However even if you are the second person, if your occlusal plane is flat, then you can’t rotate the jaws very much at all so you will need rhinoplasty to see any difference.

Anyways you need CT scans if you’re even serious about getting bimax. Get them asap or it’s over

Okay so with CT scan yall can like help me with the surgery without me uploading normal face pics (do CT scans have lens disortion:forcedsmile::forcedsmile::forcedsmile::forcedsmile:)

Regarding the nose isn’t it about if the maxilla gets moved forward on the horizontal axis rather if there is any rotation? Well yes rotation plays a role but doesn’t what I said play a bigger role?

I mean kinda. Our knowledge will be ok, but not as good as surgeons. U really need to just do research yourself tbh. That’s what I did. Read lots of science papers on these things and stuff.

No not at all. Doing minimal CCW or no rotation will have minimal or no effect on the way your nose looks.

All the copers on TikTok with big ass hooked noses saying “muh when I achieve ccw, my nose will look good” which is not true lol. Most of them need rhino.

Also over rotating is terrible. Looks awful, and causes problems with your lip profile etc

Yes thats what i also think. I dont need to post myself if i can acquire yalls knowledge

I know from experience that doctors (i suppose surgeons) talk shit and say dumb stuff.

Last week a doctor said to me that low E2 levels are not bad for male bone health, only for female bone health :lul::lul: like wtf then go under 10 pg/ml Estradiol and check yourself if ur bones are super heatlhy or if you DO get osteoporosis after 1 year :forcedsmile:

so here u have that pic. Imagine a coordinate system. My point is doesnt moving in this case the maxilla to the left (negative on the x-axis), have a bigger effect on the nose, than any kind of rotation

Meaning moving the maxilla horizontally having a huger effect than any rotation.

And no i dont even have a tiktok acc. Tiktok is so bullshit. Fucking voxzogo and igf-1 signaling or mewing or thumbpulling like wtf its jewish propaganda:lul:

No moving the maxilla horizontally will have hardly any effect on the nose when compared to rotation.
