I'll have a Le Fort I + BSSO covered by insurance but of course I am worried that it will not fix my midface hypoplasia, it wouldn't by itself of course but the consensus seems to be that a usual bimax + custom implants is a perfect solution.

  • Is this the case?
  • Will nasal projection not be reduced by implants?

No, custom midface/paranasal implants do not reduce nasal projection. They add support at the nasal base, improving facial balance so the nose looks more proportionate and harmonious without changing its actual projection. Mark this as Solution, you’re welcome.

But that support at the nasal base is like moving the implant areas forward without moving the nose forwards?

A Le Fort II moves both forwards, meaning the implants + Le Fort 1 approach would reduce the projection?

Do you see what I mean? This is the essence of my question.
