The word "leaking" means accidental or without consent. You can't consent to something being leaked.

It's against the rules to mislead moderators to try and get someone banned though. You told this dude he could post them with the intent of reporting it to moderators. Which is gay to do anyways.

Moderators are human and can understand context. It doesn't make sense to tap the rulebook as if we can't understand the context of the situation anyways.

But we can remove the PMs if you want. No point in warning anyone over it though.
