Fast runner here, letting you guys know what I do to stay in the sub 10% body fat range. I’m 5’8 130lbs so leanmaxxing is literally critical to me lol. My best tips would be:

1. Stop focusing so much on weight training. It doesn’t burn nearly as many calories as cardio does. Get good at running or cycling and the fat will literally fly off. I do cardio 7 days a week and actually enjoy it. My sessions are usually 1-1:30 hrs long and I can burn 1k+ calories from it.

2. Find foods that you like. I like pizza, so I make healthy flatbreads using Joseph’s lavash bread. Cereal ? Put a protein shake instead of milk. Gatorade? There’s Gatorade zero (it has only 10 calories instead of 200+)

3. Caffeine. 400+ mg is what I’ve recently been doing. From coffees, coke zeros, etc. and a huge tip for your coffee, put unsweetened cashew milk, Splenda, and sugar free syrup. It makes it taste sooo much better and only adds like 50 calories.

4. Stop eating out. I don’t eat out anymore, decline any invites and focus on my training for that day instead. Junk food will quickly ruin your facial aesthetics. Sacrifice that short term pleasure for a better life.

5. Walk in between your sets

6. Don’t drink your calories ( 1 protein shake isn’t TOO bad)

7. Don’t take it too far, know when to stop, know when to get back into a small surplus, longevity is key.

8. Profit 😂

Cardio doesn't burn 1k calories in an hour.

The only thing that affects weight loss is a calorie deficit. The rest of this shit is cope.

doing intense cardio will just jack up your appetite and make you more likely to binge eat, just weight train, get 10k steps and most importantly, calorie deficit.

Yup op is just a big cardio guy and his appetite isn't one to get affected by it. Bad advice for many people

I’ve built my speed and endurance enough to where I can run 7-9miles without stopping At 10MPH. 6 minute miles. And being in a deficit is easier when your caffeine intake is high, it blunts your appetite . Creating a deficit is easy when you know what causes a surplus. Some people swear by eating plain boring foods. Personally I’m getting great results by creating healthier options to my favorites (quest chips, protein bars, egg white French toast etc).

I’ve been binge eating recently but it’s because of my lower body fat percentage. I was rarely satiated after my meals, but binge eating on healthy stuff is better than binging on calorically dense food. When you get to a low enough body fat, it won’t matter what you eat, you’ll be hungry anyways

Gotta agree there. I have a shitty appetite but I also like feeling full. It’s weird lol. It’s one of many methods, some people like intermittent fasting + walking, I personally switch up my methods on a day to day basis if I’m being honest. Some days I eat three meals, some days I eat five.

I'm 5'9 and when I was leanmaxxed, I looked so good, but weighing 140lbs felt feminine. Like it legit makes you physically weaker. I'm now at 195lbs, I look like shit, bloated, but I'm strong and an actual adult male weight.

Manlet height is such a subhuman trait. Losing weight feels like emasculating yourself when looking at the scale number.

you need to start weightlifting you are a twink at 130 5”8, plus having muscle increases your tdee meaning you can eat more food

I know 😂. But I’d rather be leanmaxxed. At least my face hollows out and my jaw becomes super sharp. It’s worth the caffeine abuse and cardio sessions. I’m so scared of getting fat and especially gaining fat in my face. I literally never touch junk food (besides Sunday) and eat so much Greek yogurt and spinach. I know if my face gets fat it’ll be over for me smh.

You do realize there are varying levels of intensity and burning 1k in an hour is completely doable if you've trained enough.

I do lift. I was lifting 6 times a week but cut it down to three sessions. Cardio 7 days a week. Personally I prefer the ottermode look because I don’t wanna be super big, especially at 5’8 it would just look ridiculous. So I weigh myself everyday and track my calories everyday.

I’m never going there thanks to you bro 😂. Can’t change my height but at least I can starve so my face becomes chiseled 😩 . Caffeine, Greek yogurt, and spinach til I die . I’m literally so scared of facial fat, I know it’ll be over for me if my face gets chubby FML

This is the correct answer.

Walking is the best in terms of burning fat. You dont fuck up your body in a long term by doing a lot of sprinting, cardio etc .. walking > everything else.

Cut carbs, keep your insulin low. If you eat carbs you will have your insulin very high, look bloated on the face and have a lot of water retention.

Be sure to have decent thyroid hormone and testosterone levels. Running is fine, as long as you stick to proper form and have good shoes. Do it wrong and it will damage your joints and Achilles tendon long-term. Cycling on bike or stationary bike, or using elliptical trainer, are quite decent and relatively safe cardio. And I agree, walking can be good too. I remember I used to walk 8-10km per day when I couldn't do other exercises due to health problems and it leaned me out a lot.

My advice is better; eat at your maintenance, take thyroxine 50 MCG daily, nicotine as much as you want and minimum 200 mg caffeine daily in any form, then add weight training on top.

cope
weight training is a must to preserve muscle and burn fat instead of muscle
dont get into a too big deficit, u will cortisolmax and grt metabolic adaptions

keep carbs at a decent amount and do some cardio in between weight training(dont do cardio at all if ur an ectomorph like I am), use stimulants and clen, roids and sarms for body composition

Number 4 might seem like a good idea, but being nt is prob the most important part of looksmaxing. You have to go out for your looks to have purpose. If you know you are gonna eat out or drink, then fast that day till you eat out, or fast the next day to make up for the calories consumed.

i learned a good amount. thank you OP.

be careful. caffeine does burn fat but it also ages your face.

Caffeine's fat burning property slowly decreases with time also if taken too often, keep that in mind.

What is your maintenance? 1500? less?
