Lucid dreaming is basically being aware you're in a dream and controlling it

If you do control it fully, the feelings and sensations experienced there are 100x more powerful. Which makes sense since its directly your brain "feeling it"

You can basically do whatever you want. You can also implement worlds and rules (ie no flying. but that's quite advanced imo). And since this is a forum obsessed with sex mostly, I can say that it feels much much better in a dream than IRL by miles. In terms of sensations

I would recommend it to anyone here. It's truly like playing god.

There's many methods but most importantly you need to remember you're dreaming

The counting fingers is called a "Reality check" ie checks you do IRL every now and then so you do it in a dream and know it's a dream (ie you check for 5 fingers and in ur dream its 4. automatically being aware its a dream and start to control it"

The alarm method is called WTB (Wake up back to sleep). you basically wake up before your REM stage (the sleep stage where dream happens) and you go back to sleep while your consciousness is active, you'll directly go to the dream and control it .

You probably know of "Sleep paralysis" this is near the final stage before the dream starts. WTB is a very direct and easy method but you can use the "intention" method. where you basically intend to wake up on the middle of the dream

there are other methods, but it all depends in which ones work for you. They all work if you do believe they'll work it's your brain after all.


You do need to try until you succeed. Trust me after you do it and see the possibilities, you won't want to waste 8 hours+ of your life doing nothing, but will actually look forward to sleep as you can do ANYTHING and the feelings are 1000x better than IRL. This is not an exaggeration. Yes it has some learning curve, yes you'll likely fail before you can succeed. But it is worth it.


Basically the TLDR is


1.Make sure you can remember your dream
2.Do Reality checks
3.Do your selected method

Do it over and over until you succeed, then do it all the time and you'll have 4-6 hours daily of an insane "other" life.

Yes.

There's ways to make a stable permanent world (ie a world with laws and you can return back to every day. with death being permanent etc) but its quite advanced. someone on lucid dreaming forums posted a guide about it near a decade ago. called it "Persistent Dream / realm" . Tbh I never tried it but I'm thinking about doing it. If you get really advanced you can make a world where you're married to her and have a stable life. That's boring to me but you can do it if you really want.


you can have sex with her in the first or second lucid dream though. And have it feel better than it would IRL by a lot.
