India open he played ok but lost to gemke, made it to 3 sets. Do you think he's gonna do anything at the thomas cup? Or is he just gonna be some injured bum. Hope we can see a return to his AE 2021 form, but given the way hes changed his playstyle to be more "smooth" like his coach ldr and lcw but I think its some detriment to him, he's not meant to move like that naturally, hes trying to time his spit step too much I think. Not enough agressiveness or deception and holds in his shots anymore, that was what made him so successful

Just watch the video, its very similiar to how LCW or old players would do it. particularly, he is dragging his feet to get them closer together and then doing the split step movement to get that "smoothness". But it seems he tries to focus on the timing too much and it kind of kills his bounce and rythym, his movement was arguably faster when he did it normally. Maybe his new coach ldr isn't helping him, but we'll see. ldr had a mental issue anyways, couldnt win thomas cup 2014 and gambled all the time, maybe it rubs off of lzj
