hey all,

Think I posted in surgery by accident no one looks there Lol so I’ll go here.

I’ve posted before, I’m a 19 year old cleft patient who got lefort 2. Honestly I couldn’t be happier (as of now.) my swellings finally really gone down in most places, still near my cheek incisions and upper lip tho. compared to previous photos I’m beginning to see my my full results.

I started accutane 2 months ago which is doing very well for me so far.

I have a rhinoplasty booked and even tho the lf2 did really well for my nose it still looks pretty clefty tbh so pumped for that, and veneers hopefully in 6-9 months once my braces come off.

Man life’s good, I only ever wanted to feel normal.

Any questions lmk.

This is amazing, dude. Where do you plan on getting a rhino done?

Also, was your LeFort 2 covered by insurance?

Yes, I live in Ontario and all cleft is covered completely by insurance. I got some wicked doctors and I’m really lucky regarding that, can’t tell I have a cleft that obviously because of how great my surgeon was when I was a baby.

Oh and Rhino, I’ve been referred to a surgeon by actually the surgeon who fixed my cleft as a baby. He specializes in them, because clefts are always more complicated because of the scar tissue in the region.

That's great I hope everything goes well for you

Accutane was also a smart move; it saved me. The pore-shrinking effects will last for years too.

Thank you man I really appreciate it.

I’m curious about that, because my treatments 6 months then I have a few months in between that and my rhino. Did you find your nose stayed smaller after? I’m not totally sure about my nose results as of now because of that.

Do yourself a favour OP and dye your eyebrows and your eyelashes. Light eyebrows always look bad and sickly. It's practically free to dye them, so try it out soon. You can get hair dye from any supermarket.

Why are you getting a rhinoplasty? It looks like your Lefort I can be advanced some more. In the side profile I think your nose remains sunken, and nose is formed by both maxilla and cartridge.

Then again, your story sounds very unique, and you're not too bad anymore. Might be a good point to stop when your face has been rescued.

If you don't mind recalling what your diet and hospital stay was like, could you tell me? I don't think patients talk enough about the diet and hospital stay.

Ya I’ve been told to do so, not really sure what colour would be best. Probably just my hair colour but darker is what I’m thinking but I’ve received that piece of advice a ton.

For rhino, it’s partially about breathing, can’t really breathe out my right nostril. Also, my tip is pretty sunken the photos I took probably do it a bit more justice then reality. It will certainly help both aesthetically and quality of life wise. I actually have an overjet, it’s not a maxilla problem it’s a cleft issue which is primarily the reason I still am gonna get it (and it’s free so like literally why not.)

After that and veneers I’m calling it quits, don’t care about minor improvements from there, it’ll be more about building my frame I’m like 6’2.5 and 160, really skinny.

My hospital stay was 3 days and all I had was apple juice. I was so drugged I barely remember anything. They put a catheter in me aswell because of the amount of drugs and pain killers I was on day 1, not good 😂

Sick results bro I’m like at the same situation you had, I also have cleft lip and palate, I’m waiting for the doctors to do double jaw for me. Hopefully I will see good results like you have seen
