How does a LeFort downgrafting + CW rotation change the face?

Also, does downgrafting = less advancement necessary?

My surgeon said that he can advance the maxilla by 2-3mm (with downgrafting & CW rotation).

Seems a little underwhelming no?

CCW w/ anterior impaction = face shortens
CCW w/ posterior downgrafting = neutral
CW w/ anterior downgrafting = face lengthens
CW w/ posterior impaction = neutral
