Leftist ideologies don't actually exist

What even is "leftism"? Is it even a consistent ideology at all? What leftist values have consistently existed over the past several generations? It seems to me like whatever "values" they adopt get replaced with something else if it suits them to do so. This leaves me with the impression that there isn't actually any such thing as leftist ideologies and that such individuals are just demagogues trying to obtain power.

Fun fact: Before the current sjw/PC era, leftists were the ones demanding border control and reduced immigration. Only after they realized the white working class wasn't falling for their shit, did they embrace open borders. And it's the same for almost everything else. Indeed, it's questionable if leftism is even really an ideology at all.

Leftism = public and communal ownership of private property.

I don't know what immigration has to do with it, if anything rightists are pro-immigration because it means cheap mexican labor nad lower wages = more profit for the liberal capitalist.

Then what about social democrats who want private control of assets, while merely spending money on social programs? Or socialist anarchists who want to abolish the state?

There is no consistency of thought among "leftists".
