This is gunnar. The man behind the most gruesome killings in Iceland history
He didn't have a mother growing up and was close with his father but on September 6th 1996 when gunnar was just 9 years old. His dad had enough of it and blew his brains off with a pump action shotgun what made it worse was gunnar was in the room and had to watch his dad's head being blow off of to bits, needless to say it mentally scared him for life as he refused to accept his death
He met a girl named hildur and immediately became infatuated with her. She is the only person who ever gave him any attention. She genuinely cares for him and he developed intense feelings for her from childhood and had them all the way into adulthood but he never told her how he felt.
And in 2009 hilder got engaged to this 6'2 Nordic nigga. Hanes the victim who worked as a manager at his father's chocolate factory in Iceland.
The engagement devastated Gunnar pushing him into a downward spiral crying for days. Desperate to express his bottled-up emotions and fearing he'd lose her entirely he created a YouTube account under the username "gunnarrunar87" and uploaded a video titled 'Jรกtning mรญn til Hildar" google translate says it means My Confession to Hildur. according to subtitles it is him confessing his lifelong love for Hildur. And how he had fear of rejection and how he didn't want to lose the friendship of the one person that cared for him
Hildur never loved that nigga and only saw him as a friend and they remained friends even after her marriage. Hannes her now husband Hannes even allowed it and was okay with his wife being this close to another man, all of it seemed okay at first with everyone getting along just fine
But Behind the scenes, Gunnar's obsession festered and exploded into a horrific crime. On the night of August 14, 2010, Hildur spent the evening out with friends and for some reason ended up staying at Gunnar's house overnight reports don't specify why The next morning, August 15, Gunnar drove her back to the home she shared with Hannes.
While Hildur was away, Gunnar had entered the house earlier that morning (between 5 and 10 a.m.) and went ER on her husband and killed the sleeping Hannes with a large knife, stabbing him multiple times. Hannes died from his wounds. When Hildur arrived home around noon, she discovered his body in a pool of blood on the floor. There were photos of these that got circulated on liveleak but I couldn't find them now. Just imagine a man with his eviscerated body full of deep stab wounds in the stomach, neck and back, with his insides, intestines pouring out with blood splattered all across on the walls and dripping from the stairs
Police swarmed the scene and quickly noticed a key piece of evidence. a clear bloody shoe print right next to the bed where the attack happened
Forensic teams photographed and analyzed the print and It matched the sole pattern of a very specific model. The Adidas Barrack sneakers of a very rare variant which at the time only around 18 pairs of these exact shoes had been sold in Iceland and ofc this bum ass was a sneakerhead and the nigga wore it when he committed the crime. The shoe size prints also matched perfectly.
He got convicted of the crime and after interrogation revealed everything. Psychiatric evaluations later revealed he had been plotting Hannes' murder for nearly a year convinced that removing him would clear the path to being with the love of his life Hildur and got sentenced for 16 years in 2011 but got out early and is living a quite life in rural iceland and was briefly spotted a few times on tinder
