Is cancelling my own date the day it was supposed to take place a legit strategy? Like, texting her "gotta cancel our date for today" without proposing to postpone it. Either she proposes to postpone it herself, then it would mean she's really interested. Or doesn't, then she wasn't that interested. Is it legit, or genuine autism?

Sounds like PUA autism to me. If she is truly interested in you, you could tell.
