true i myself personally own a 200$ phone, face looks same in every phone cause yk they all have around 25mm wiide angle lenses for the front camera and even the back camera in my phone and a 17 pro max literally looks the same except yk very high qualiitty and good skintone management. if you really wanna mog and build an aesthetic instagram profile (for status and social proof) and get hella matches on dating apps, i would advice you to learn photoshop and lightroom for photos and after effects for videos so you can enhance them and also morph jfl. buy an entry level dslr and a cheap telephoto lens. trust me you can literally zoom into the eyes and not lose any quality without all the ai bs. CAMERA>SMARTPHONE anyday. you'll look 100x better in cameras than even you look irl w professional editing and everything.

a professional camera, they are mainly of 2 types - dslr and mirrorless. dsrls are better for portraits so you can mog tf outta everyone on dating apps.

you can find the best focal length for your face on it. human eye has about 50mm so if you find something like a 100mm, you'd look much more better. dont even forget the 8k resolution. even a 6/10 would look very nice if you now how to edit your photos and videos and there is a reason because you dont see such vibrant and high res images or videos so automatically they get attracted. now ofc all this works only for htn+ because no body cares how professional your photos look (TAILS said this in his video) if you look good you can even on a 100$ phone jfl so its js all about looking your best.

the back camera theory only works for the telephoto lens phones (check threadd in botb) and it wont work because it is capped to 50mm, you lose detail and highlights, ai edits your face etc etc
why not, ask him for a telephoto lens... play around w the focal length annd find which one suits the best for your face and then js do the necessary settings like iso aperture white balance etc if your friend is good at photography he would know this. if you still see any flaws, import them to your phone or use photoshop and morph them. ask him if can colour grade them in photoshop and lightroom. a good photographer is one which can ediit a trash photo to ethereal.
