The MASPE zero, also known as DOME zero, is nothing more than a variant of the MARPE we all know.
It's a marketing ploy that has increased the cost of the device from 4-6k to over 20k.
Some honest orthodontists admit that it's worth nothing.
Basically, simply removing the anchor from the teeth prevents fake expansion, which will then be lost. It's also very important that braces go tobether with the device.
MASPE is slow, not rapid.
The goal is therefore to give the sutures time to create new bone and adapt better. This also reduces the likelihood of asymmetries in general. Better bone healing.
Then, as we said, the gap between the incisors will be limited, and the teeth will be aligned by the braces at the same time as the expansion.
The device must be worn for several months to stabilize the result.
I'd like to know if anyone can share their experience with this device, especially in a pre-trimax/bimax scenario.
Now, I specifically need support for the following:
In Italy, we're far behind on this stuff. Traditional MARPE is used in truly rare and severe cases.
There's zero knowledge on the subject, and zero interest among orthodontists in training on these innovations, which offer enormous possibilities in the field of airway health and overall oral health, including aesthetics.
So I need to convince an Italian orthodontist to perform this procedure on me.
My palate is narrow, but since it's not a severe case, they don't think it's necessary...
So I'd like to have an online consultation with professionals who perform MASPE on their patients.
Then report the results of the consult to an Italian orthodontic to perform it on me.
I've already seen several professionals who are becoming popular in this niche, so I wanted to hear if anyone here has direct experience with one in particular.
Thanks.
We can discuss as well if MASPE is better the MSE and why
Oh I forgot to say that they use invisalign but regular braces should be fine too.

What is right for me: MARPE, MSE, DOME, MASPE, RPE, SARPE, … ? — Dr. Claudia Pinter
Various terms such as MARPE, MSE, MASPE, or DOME essentially describe the same goal: the skeletal expansion of the upper jaw, not merely the widening of the dental arch. While such expansions were previously only possible in children, mini-implants now also allow adolescents
