Blockchain is what bitcoin runs on. It's the system that bitcoin and other crypto run on. It's a method of making sure everything is secured.

Remember how I said the blockchain is made up of many computers running calculations? Those calculations are there to make sure everything is verified and 'legit'

Now technically if someone was able to control 50% plus 1 of the total calculation power of the blockchain, they could change the rules and make as much bitcoin as they want but that wont happen because the amount of energy you'd need to do to overpower everyone else in the blockchain is so gigantic, that you couldn't realistically do it.
