That’s true, that’s why even Dravidians carry R1a. However, historical context is important, since it was a massive event in South Asian history. But unfortunately, South Asian DNA is considered ghost DNA, we don’t have any remains of pure South Asians.
modern indians are aryan+iranian farmer+abos but on south they have much less aryan and much more abo

do you look more south asian or more like west asian
It depends on who you ask, but personally, I think I look South Asian. One of my former friends thought I looked “very Hindustani.” Recently, someone asked me if I was Indian or Pakistani, and then asked I’m Punjabi, and I said yes. And a year ago, someone else asked me if I was Punjabi as well, and I said I was, and they were happy they got it right. :ROFLMAO: However, once I was at a mosque with many South Asians, and a North African med BVLL thought I wasn’t South Asian. So that’s why I said, it depends on who you ask.

South Asians don’t have any abo DNA, abos live in Oceania. :p It’s called SAHG (South Asian Hunter-Gatherer), or AASI in more outdated terms. The typical southern South Asians do have majority SAHG DNA, but also a lot of Farmer DNA, with little Steppe DNA. However, there are also so-called South Indian Brahmins, whose ancestors migrated to the region about a thousand years ago, they are the atypical southern South Asians. But I am a northwestern South Asian, and I have more than half Farmer DNA, and roughly a quarter Steppe DNA and SAHG DNA.

That’s why the last guy surprised me, because I was literally surrounded by South Asians and yet he thought I wasn’t one of them. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, but AASI is an outdated term, SAHG is preferred. They now believe there were multiple “AASI” groups, that’s why it’s a misnomer. You have “north AASI” and “south AASI,” these terms kind of don’t make sense. That’s why SAHG is better. And yeah, Gangetic populations (so, Indians) have higher Steppe DNA. I only have 22%, and they have up to 30%. But they also have more SAHG DNA than I do. By the way, Rajputs are not a monolith, there are all sorts of Rajputs… you have Hill Rajputs (from Himachal Pradesh), Gangetic Rajputs (from Uttar Pradesh) and Northwestern Rajputs (from Rajasthan). And their genetics are all different from each other. Hill Rajputs, for example, have an extra layer of DNA, which is Tibetan DNA. It is usually as high as 20%.

Yes, I’m Islamic. Most Punjabis are actually Islamic. But they are associated with Sikhism and India, but most Punjabis live in Pakistan. Punjab got divided by the British, with one half being in Indian Punjab, and the other half being in Pakistani Punjab. Punjabis are also genetically diverse.
