Many of people feel that hollowness, that feeling that they dont have a purpose in life.They feel like they go through life sleepwalking, only existing not living,but nobody thought about, why people think that.Everyone copies the things they see online or people they admire,everyone talks in the same manner,everyone have the same stile or way of thinking.......we tradet uniqueness for a version of ourselves that society accepts.But we dont want to pretend.........we want to live our lifes how we want to.Tyler makes it clear that these things are meaningless.It doesnt matter if you have the newest of the newest car or the newest iphone.These things make us more of a consumer slave....we create a cage with meaningless stuff, until we cannot leave these things behind and leave the cage.
IS THIS REALLY IT?IS THAT THE PURPOSE OF LIFE?are we just rotting matter?
Society enslaved us into thinking that men are home dwellers or the perfect version of men that we see constantly in romantic movies.....but NO,men never been like that.Men were providers,protecters or rebells.We were never meant to have perfect appartments or perfect relationships.
Modern society has taken it all of us.Thats why we feel like we are living the same day over and over....waking up,work,dinner (but dont forget that we need to count our calories to enslave us even more),seing our shit friends that would betray us any moment and sleep.
Its not mind blowing why Fight Club is such a hit, even 27 years later.Young men see Tyler, that rebellious,masculine and overall a real version of a men that dont belongs to society.Thats how men needs to live....not that perfect covering that we build ourselves to belong to society.
Young men wants to replace their lost masculinity with podcasts,books or self-improvement routines....they want to compensate for the emptieness they feel in themselves.But the truth is that no routines,books or podcast will make up for the fact that their existence was reduced to a fake,hollow and depressed version of themselves
