This is my guide to being happy and making friends!
Being happy!
Being happy can be hard sometimes, especially when you are feeling upset about something that has happened to you. I have felt sad before and when you are sad, it's good to remember that being sad is apart of the human experience (but that doesn't mean that it sucks any less).
When I feel sad, I usually reflect on why I am sad, but it's important to not dwell on it for too long because it will make you sadder and angrier about it. I also sometimes think about the future when I'm sad, but it's important to not do that either because then you'll also get worried and anxious. The trick is to live in the moment and stake your life here and now (a wise man called shuzo matsuoko told me that on my tv, check him out he's super duper awesome.)
That being said, what can you even do to live in the moment rather than live in the past or the future? I like to go outside and go for a walk in the forest, going outside is great for your mental health. Patting your dog is also very good to feel happy, we can learn a lot from dogs.
To sum it up, don't stress too much about anything, none of it really matters that much in the long run. If you're feeling sad or anything and you don't have anyone to talk about it to, feel free to message me dudes and I can listen to you.
Making friends!
Making friends is also very good to do, having friends is good and sharing your joy with others is great! Now you might ask, what is a friend? I consider a friend to be anyone I've had a positive interaction with. This could be somebody I've complimented on the street, or the homeless man thats told me his life story at the petrol station. Friends are great, the more people you know the better!
Now when it comes to actually making friends you need to be outgoing. I know that sounds like a challenge for some people but it's important to remember that most of the time other people are also nervous and probably won't come over to you, so you have to be the person to go over to them! Lets think about a scenario here, say it's your first day at a new school and you are feeling pretty nervous. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that most people would be pretty nervous in this situation, but instead of just standing around awkwardly waiting for someone to introduce themselves to you go up to someone and introduce yourself! Say something like hey man, I'm ______ and I'm new around here! any chance you wanna be buddies? It always works for me!
When you have friends, invite them to go do stuff! Me and my friends go out exploring, don't be afraid to do something when you are out with your friends if it isn't stupid. Me and my friends found some cows roaming around and tried to ride them, and it was a lot of fun! The best memories are made when you go out and do something that's out of your comfort zone!
What to take away from this
Life isn't that serious, don't treat it like it is. Smiling and being happy is free, go make some friends, don't be shy to go talk to that girl and instead of being sad be happy! Have a good day everyone and thanks for reading my guide!
