From a young age, I was considered an outsider. My features are harsh, twisted in a way that make even strangers avert their eyes.
In highschool, isolation became unbearable.
Watched as friends found love effortlessly, forming bonds, dating, and having intimacy seemed abundant and easy.
And I did go outside, I met women who were polite, even kind, but their faces always betrayed their true feelings;
A glance of horror here, a look of discomfort there.
Every rejection added another layer to the fortress of loneliness.
My friends, who initially pitied me, stopped inviting me out, and even when they were around, they barely acknowledged me.
I probably became just another sad tale whispered among the students of my school, as a reminder of someone who had slipped through the cracks, unnoticed and unloved.
