Life as a semi-NEET for 3 months.

I did not study the entirety of 2025 and due to that I'll need to repeat. (I'm in 11th grade/ junior year) I'll switch schools to avoid the embarrassment. The worst thing tho is that I lied to my parents about studying, they have high expectations. They will be pretty surprised to see me fail, everyone will be. I have never failed and have always been an amazing student. I procrastinated studying for an entire year (pretty fucked and stupid I know and which is why I won't repeat it). Any tips on how to slowly give hints of this to my parents and reduce their expectations so that they don't feel completely betrayed when I do fail?

This doesn't stem from me not having enough faith or self-belief, it's just the reality. So, I'm confused as to what I should do for these 3 months? I am thinking of going to the gym, trying various stuff, reflecting, trying to improve my cognition so that when I do repeat I'm better, trying various psychedelics like shrooms, dmt, ayahuasca, etc. For fun, watching shows, anime, playing games etc. (waiting for nioh 3 to release). Also, researching more about looksmaxing, reading all the BOTB threads, taking notes, learning, applying. Any more recommendations?

start fucking studying now then
you have 3 months, there is no way (without consistent studying) you will fail if you legit study for 3 months every day for 2-3 hours.
3 months is a lot of time

Dropout ged work your ass off in a job quit psyches retard roid gymmax then surgery telling you this cause thats exactly what im doing dropped out the day i turned 17 waiting a whole year doing nothing at school while you can save up as early as possible is genuinely a godsend

It's literally futile with the amount of studying I have to do. People start studying 5-6 months ago and still fail. I am not as stupid as them but still. It won't lead to much. It's starting in 2 weeks. Not 3 months.

Yes, this is close to what I've thought of. repeating a high school year gives me more time to looksmax before I join a college. College is the most fun part of your life. Yes, this is close to what I've thought of. repeating a high school year gives me more time to looksmax before I join a college. College is the most fun part of your life. Looking better will just do that much more and I think that is worth it. Plus, even after repeating a grade my age will still be the same as most people as most people in my classroom were 17-18. I started school a year earlier.

honestly just tell your parents straightup that you think you're failing the year its better for them to get angry now than get angry during ur break js tell them you werent feeling like yourself this year ot something like that also do NOT dropout if you do atleast signup to an online school also theres no shame in repeating the year if you alr have friends in ur current highschool just stay in it youll have people to talk to during lunch and between classes

dont be too hard on yourself and just take this as a lesson. Im sure you will be just fine and things will get better. Honestly id say get off the forums and actually try to work on yourself in a less stressful way. Try hard for your parents man you got this.
