Life is meaningless

(Rant) I turned eighteen 2 months ago, and got this apprenticeship as an electrician. So far I've only worked with these dudes that are like 40+, and when we talked about how long he has worked for the firm and he said 20+ years, I felt like a wave of realization, that I'm going to work until I'm 70 and then die 10 years later. My existence will be entirely meaningless orher then providing for someone who "owns" me. I can't believe that people that lived hundreds of years before me prolly accomplished more then me and felt more joy in life even though they didn't live past the age of 25
