I'm depressed, lost all motivation to do anything. I also have no friends and almost failed my university classes. I feel extremely lonely

Also I'm 19 and the thought of turning 20 in a few months
terrifies me.

My parents are rich though. I probably will never have to worry about finances in my life

Any insights would be appreciated:ogre:

I had both. I lived alone in a penthouse for University with a gaming PC and rotted for an entire year. Probably the lowest point in my life

Its not much, low 7 figure salary per year.

I already travel several times per year, its nice, but not something crazy enjoyable.

Trace back your steps. Why did you fail your classes? Why don't you have any friends? It seems it all comes down to your being depressed. All these things are likely by-products of your depression. Your loneliness and lack of motivation, too, stem from your depression. It sucks, we've all been there before. But you can still get out of it. I would personally not recommend therapy; instead, I would recommend some soul-searching. Think about how or why things have turned out like this, and then do the opposite of those things. For example, maybe you're failing your university classes because you're not studying what you want. The solution? You opt for a major that motivates you. Take some time to yourself, and do some thinking. What's a job you see yourself doing, and more importantly, enjoy doing? One of my good friends studied to become a lawyer, managed to get his university degree but he was just depressed because he wasn't doing what he really wanted to do. He decided to say, "Fuck it!" And did something he wanted to do, and it seemed to have worked out for him. He's a family man now. All you've gotta do is take the step in the right direction, but you need to figure out what that direction might be. It could be anything. I see that you were a NEET for a year, and I can say with confidence that being a NEET for more than one year isn't going to do you any favors. Sure, the first few weeks or so may seem good, but afterwards it goes downhill. Your social skills get tanked, you're having a lot more difficulty making friends, days become monotonous, etc. I'd never suggest more than a few months of NEETdom. I have been a NEET since I was 19, and I'm 29 now. I've done way more damage to myself than I ever could have imagined. But at least you can learn from my mistakes. Feel free to send me a PM if you need more advice, or to tell me more about your situation. In any case, I wish you the best of luck. I know you can do it!
