Lighting is insanely important and changes everything

Did a outdoor photoshoot today. Litteraly in some pictures absolutely mogged by the tree and in others DOM. In some pics I even look fat JFL in others lean AF. Wtf is this?

I feel you 9/10 times i think for example my skin looks fine , But under that 1 lighting i look like a dryed out grape
