What are your thought on limb lengthening? Let's say my goal is to gain like 7cm of height, are there better options that limb lengthening? Like I have heard there are some procedures where u can inject hyaluronic acid into the heel, etc. Also, are all LL surgeries the same? if someone only wants to grow 7cm is the recovery period as bad as someone who want to grow like crazy amounts like 7 inches and shit?

LLS is a long and enduring process but with an immense ROI depending on your starting height ofc. The Recovery process depends on a wide range of factors such as height gained, genetics, method used, your own engagement. Process is divided into 3 parts:

1. Distraction phase : You lengthen the bone (0,75 - 1,0 mm / day depending on which bone is lengthened and how your body responds) meaning with 7cm you're looking at 70 - 90 days (2,5- 3 months ) .

2. Consolidation phase: The bone mineralizes and is hardened. BUT the structure of the bone is still not durable as the rest of the bone because of the microstructure. Consolidation length can vary a lot but standard medical practices calculates with 40 days/ cm (femur) and 80 days/cm (Tibias). Meaning if you lengthen your femur 7cm you look at 280 days (9 months). But if you're young, give the bone enough mechanical stress (Wolffs Law) , and use pharmaceuticals (BPC 157 , TB 500, Teriparatid, HGH) you can accelerate this process maybe go down to 6-7 months if everything's optimal.
If you go with a FWB nail you can walk without assistance with a normal gait about 5 months post OP. Depending on your lifestyle you effectively have to put everything on hold just for a few months, you just can't do intense sports yet.

3. Remodeling phase: Probably the most important phase if you want to recover fully and be athletic. The consolidated bone remodels the microstructure so it becomes as durable as the rest of the bone. The duration of this phase can vary a lot. If everything's optimal you look at 8-12 months. After the bone is fully remodeled you can go back to every activity including intense and contact sports and martial arts. So you're fully recovered 1,5 - 2 years post op.

Summarized: LLS long and enduring process but with high ROI. Everything on hold : 3-4 months (If you can work from home you can even start working as soon as 4-6 weeks post op) after 5-6 months you can walk unassisted with normal gait, IF you choose a fwb nail. Light sports after 8-12 months. Intense sports (contact sport, heavy lifting , martial arts) after 1,5 - 2,5 years. If you're still in school take a gap year after you've finished school.

Remember Height > Face > Frame.
If you're not willing enough to go trough this process don't do it , stay short and fraud.
