I’d be lying if I said I ever felt a need to go beyond ubuntu. I’m just too comfy with it and it’s suitable for everything I need while not being windows.

Make no mistake it's a decent distribution

But Cucknonical is pushing new users into the idea that terminal phobia is fine and you can Snap and Flatpak your way to the moon. Bloated storage usage because each cucktainer has its own independent group of independence.

Said formats don't interact woth the rest of your system properly too so they cause all sorts of bugs. Discord RPC didn't work for my friend because he downloaded the flatpak version. If I didn't guide him through learning how to install discord the "proper" way, he would probably have believed that RPC just no workie on linux.

Also Ubuntu does use proprietary backends and is not the most lightest weight distro with GNOME. Does collect telemetry if you don't opt out.

I'm overblowing things honestly but fuck Cucknonical regardless. I've had friends who start with LX mint or Ubuntu and it does feel like shit when they tell me they hate it.

I think if you are retarded enough to try and use Linux you might as well use Arch.
