As promised here's the initial results for my lower back/flank liposuction surgery.

The recovery will take a while as it takes quite a while. I'm due for review in 1 week and am wearing a compression garment 24/7 for the next 4-6 weeks.

Here are the before pictures
For reference I am anywhere between 75-81kg's in these photos at 178cm.
I have been leaner and lower weight lowest as an adult while still being trained: 71kg.
Even despite this fact my 'love handles' and flanks have always stayed and honestly become more obvious. They are highly resistant to weight loss but also are the first body part to pick up fat. Many years of training did nothing to actually improve it whatsoever.

You can see I can easily pinch a huge amount of fat, 5+cm on the sides despite being lean which is why I wanted to get this procedure. Some people might ask why not roid and to that I can confidently say androgens won't magically change your fat distribution, I will consider it down the line though.

The surgeon discussed this with me informing me that fat around here is genetically determined and stubborn.
He also did make a point that the surgery would be difficult in terms of downtime because males have fibro-fatty tissue especially in the region which is essentially fat + collagen matrices which means the surgeon has to apply more force to shear away the fat from the subcutaneous layer and also gives a longer time for recovery.

Swelling is going to gradually increase until week 2, full results won't be visible till 3-4 months for the contour.

The surgery itself went very smoothly no issues there, recorded time was 1 hr and 16 minutes. There were photos taken pre op and post op right after where the swelling was less but my skin was pumped full of fluids (local anesthetic, adrenaline and TXA). The photos are with the surgeon which I will have at my follow up visit.

Here is the aspirate itself + pictures taken 24-48 hours after.

There's still fluid in these photos and especially by the 48 hr mark a considerable amount of swelling. I will update with more photos but my back is quite swollen all the way from the sacrum to the mid back.

Pain is a 2/10 and a 3/10 when walking only really hurts when going from sitting to standing or vice versa.
When I take the binder off for the shower the swelling and bruising becomes more obvious, the incisional points (under a dressing) are starting to become lumpy and hard.

The surgery process itself is kind of surreal I got an operation and went back to work the very next day, took public transport, 5k steps no downtime whatsoever which is a blessing as I am in a very busy time in my life, this wont be the last procedure I'll have done. I'll be the first to admit there are other flaws I have that are more pressing but the reason why I chose to get this first is because of 1. the cost is relatively cheap, 2. Minimal interference with my life and 3. Not much downtime.

No one knows I've had this done I just have to wear extra layers under my clothes and stealth it out

The surgeon is encouraging walking and light exercise he states that it makes the recovery easier but to avoid heavy bracing movements for the next 2 weeks till review.

Once the entire process is done probably late this year I will make a comprehensive documentation but here are the immediate results as promised.
