Why is it that you can dance under the sun,
You'rs so dainty, perfect, and feminine.
but I'm told to hide from it?
And I am nothing like you.
I wish I could be embraced the way you are.
I wish my nose didn't stick out like a sore thumb,
I wish I wasn't masculanized.
I wish I could bathe in the suns rays like you. I wish my features were not demonized.
While I bleached my skin, you lived freely in yours.
While I was thrown into a million molds and stereotypes
You unwrapped the gift of individuality.
Maybe I'm bitter, even a little resentful.
But you will always be everything I'm not.
