Your life is yours to live in, make your own decisions, date the people you want, love how you want. Don't get caught up by the "objective societal norms," that are placed on you. Whether that be what you should want in a partner, a job, in looks, and in all other aspects of life.
If you want to be with a certain type of person, be with that certain type of person, if you want to have a certain job or certain motive in life, have that motive, if you want to dress a certain way, dress that way. As humans we usually get caught up in the chaos and rapid pace of the world, and we sometimes forget what we want ourselves, and we forget the most important fact of all: We only have one life, we must live our lives, and we must live them for ourselves. Do what you believe is right, don't live for anyone else, live for yourself. The world is yours.
