I was 13 when my dentist said that my mandible was extremely recessed and there was no much i could do besides surgery, that shit destroyed me, because theres no way my parents would pay 5000$+ for a plastic surgery for me, I tried pretty much everything i could to revert my case
- Bonesmashing for over a year
- avoiding slop
- 8hr+ sleep
- mewing, beltpulling and other copes
now im saving for surgery and starting on pharmacology.
I just want to express how grateful i am for all the information i was able to find, my life was genuinely saved.
- I know im not an really atractive person, but im sure id be wayy uglier than what i am now.
sorry if i say something wrong, thats 1st post

good that you didn't get your teeth pulled.

Youre still recessed but yeah it looks like it couldve ended up a lot worse.

Nothing changed

whys that
because its recessive ortho. its the other way of "fixing" an overbite. They recess your maxilla to match the recess your mandible

doesnt work like that, ive posted a whole thread about it, braces cant "move" bone

removing teeth causes bone loss. Take a look and peoples faces with dentures. Expansion is superior to teeth removal

obviously expansion is ideal, but expansion and extractions are very case dependant. And premolar extraction causes extremely minimal to no bone loss, and anyways, 2-4 teeth are not nearly enough for bone loss in that area to be visible
